Family Constellation Groups

This work is based on the recognition that we all are part of a bigger field or force connecting us to each other and to our ancestors. It is also based on the recognition that there is an order in the system of where you belong and the responsibilities which come with that place.

Family Constellation work explores the systems we live in and the impact they have on our lives. It brings awareness to relational entanglements in intimate relationships, family, work place and to related health issues. This process supports experiential integration of unacknowledged parts of our systems and within ourselves which can lead to long lasting positive effects.

Family or Systems Constellation is not limited to explore family Systems but can be used to explore any life situation we like to find more clarity, integration and possible resolution.

Through directly experiencing the field energy in the group we learn to trust that all movement is essentially a movement towards healing and integration and that the power of intent, love, trust and curiosity is what supports this movement.

Testimonies:

‘Thank you so much Claudia, for your incredible facilitation and beautiful energy that you bring to this work. I have worked with so many healing modalities over the years, and genuinely walked away from that experience feeling more deeply impacted than with anything else I have experienced. It honestly felt as powerful for me as a plant medicine journey, without taking any substances. I felt so safe and held in your space and look forward to returning and diving deeper into this work, which feels truly life-  changing.’   Tori, Bodyworker

I recently attended Claudia’s Family Constellation workshop and have noticed many shifts already, especially in my relationship with my mother. I left the workshop feeling much lighter and filled with divine love and grace. I am so grateful for this transformational space and I gained so much from having my own constellation done, but also bearing witness and taking part in other people’s constellations. A deeply connecting and healing day for me. Thank you Claudia for holding the space with such tenderness, grace and wisdom.  Alexandra Sanders

“Claudia, thank you so much for your exceptional and intuitive facilitation. I feel blessed to witness and experience such powerful therapy.”  Caddie/Brisbane

Here an explanation about the “Knowing Field” which we work with in family constellation and what Rubert Sheldrake calls the Morphic Field.

Facilitator Claudia Gyr :

Claudia completed a 3 ½ yr potters apprenticeship in Switzerland in 1979 learning all facets of making a living from pottery.

She has been teaching pottery in Switzerland at an adult education school for 4 years before immigrating to Australia in 1988.

In 1992 she opened her own pottery studio with adjoining art gallery in the Channon where she made a living as a potter and gallery owner for 8 yrs.

After the sale of the gallery Claudia studied and then worked as an Art Therapist and only recently through one of her clients found her way back to clay.

Now still working as a part time art therapist and without the pressures of having to make a living from clay she enjoys sharing her knowledge with others in a relaxed and supportive environment.

“Looking forward sharing some creative and playful time with you.” Claudia :-)

Art Therapy workshops and accredited Art Therapy trainings

Dear All

Very exciting news! My art/art therapy studio will be finished by the end of the year!
It was well worth waiting for. A spot with the fantastic views, plenty of light and airflow, just five minutes outside of Mullumbimby on 10 acres of privacy and peace :-)
I will run regular weekend half to two day art/art therapy workshops plus a regular clay creation group (yes, I rekindled my old passion for clay too) and will post more information about dates and workshops at the beginning of next year. If you are interested in being on my mailing list just fill in the contact form with your request. The other good news is that Ikon is running one their accredited training program to become a qualified Art Therapist for the first time in Byron Bay.

This is a one year Diploma Course in Art Therapy.
I will be teaching some of the subjects (and most probably from my studio) amongst other teachers who will visit from interstate. Please feel free to forward the information to anyone you feel may be interested :-)

PS if you require Vet-Fee-help you would have to apply asap as there will be changes next year and Vet courses no longer receive that kind of help. This is the reason Ikon likes to start already on the 15th of December 16 so that people who do start now, can receive this financial support.
See the link below and don’t hesitate to contact them directly for more information.

Last but not least there are still places left for the one day Introduction to Art Therapy at the Byron Communtiy College this Saturday the 26the of Novemenber. Just call the College on 02 66843 374

One Day Workshop about Cultivating your Compassiate Mind

The Power of Compassion: How to Manage Stress by Cultivating your Compassionate Mind

In 2 weeks time (June 19th), the University Centre for Rural Health North Coast is bringing Professor Paul Gilbert (UK)to Lismore run a one-day low-cost workshop for the general community, assisted by a friend of mine, James Benette-Levy.

Its a rare opportunity to see on the North Coast a founder of a significant psychotherapy (Compassion Focused Therapy). It’s possible that you at his evening talk 2 years ago when he drew 326 people to the Lismore Workers Club.

Next week, Paul is on a panel with the Dalai Lama at the Happiness and its Causes conference in Sydney. The North Coast workshops (there’s a 3 day workshop in Byron for therapists June 15-17 – see www.cbttraining.com.au) are his only other Australian events.

If you want to see Paul’s Lismore evening talk from 2013, you can find it at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GKVMILwzdY
The Lismore 1 day workshop is filling fast. If you are thinking of coming, I’d strongly advise registering in the next week to secure a place. The application form is attached, or you can find this and more information at www.cbttraining.com.au
Thanks to the various sponsors (Lismore Council, North Coast Medicare Local, Northern Rivers Social Development Council, Lightn Up and ourselves), lunch is also included. Its purposely low-cost to open to the community at large as part of the Compassionate Lismore project, and  a great deal at $90, or $60 concession.
They are keen to make it so that not just health and community sector professionals, but also members of the general public are aware of the opportunity, so please do let friends and clients know, if you think its something that might be of value for them.

Attachment Styles and ways of Relating

The way we connected with our primary caretaker as small children has a big influence in how we relate to others later in life. To learn about our own attachment style can open new doors to understanding how we armour ourselves in relationships and how to relearn and reparent ourselves to create more fulfilling relationships with others.

Diane Poole Heller is offering some free informative videos where she shares her wealth of wisdom about attachment style and somatic experiencing used in therapy.

I hope this link works, otherwise just find her website and you will find all the information there.

Arts Therapy Group for Women who experienced trauma

I am running an other Art Therapy Group for women who have experienced trauma or domestic violence with the kind support of the Women’s Resource Service. This group has had overwhelmingly positive feedback from women who have been able to feel more confident, better able to cope with their fears, anxiety and stress. The group helps making new connections and provides women with an opportunity to step out of isolation and promote healing. These groups focus on connecting participants with their outer and inner resources and strength. We all tend to focus on the problem and often overlook resources already present. The groups are experiential and educational giving women the understanding and tools to establish a sense of control and stability which are fundamental for trauma resolution.

The program includes four major components.

1. Learning simple mindfulness practices

2. Somatic body centered exercises

3. Education about the biology of trauma

5. Creative arts process to ground experiences and encourage further insights.

What people have said about the last workshop:

“I have learned so much from our excellent tutor, Claudia. It is never too late to repair the damage done in our childhood , is something I have now learned through attending this great group of women.”

“It has supported me to move forward in my life by integrating many loose ends. Trough resolving ideas, thought patterns etc that I have outgrown or come to realise tha they don’t help and support me and installing new one’s that support growth.”

“Claudia is a very gentle, caring and insightful facilitator. She is kind, aware, hugely knowledgeable and has a very loving and healing energy. I feel very fotuneate to have attended this art therapy group. Thank you.”

“I was always too fearful of revisiting my childhood. Through the Art Therapy sessions I learned how to open that tightly closed box of a very frightening childhood.”
